2017 Kaiser Permanente Thriving Volunteers Award

Published on May 5, 2017

On April 28, 2017, Rebekah Children's Services was honored by Kaiser Permanente with a Thriving Volunteers Award at the Junior League of San Jose 48th Annual Volunteer Recognition Luncheon called Rising Above. We were honored for our volunteer program through the Prevention & Education and Family Resource Center programs.

Last year, we trained over 75 volunteers to help support the work we do in parenting classes, small groups, large group presentations, support groups, child care services, and teen peer mentoring. The volunteers in our programs help us to provide services to over 3,000 youth, families, and community members, throughout Santa Clara County, to create pathways to hope, happiness, and well-being.

Kaiser Permanente’s community involvement supports prevention-focused, evidence-based programs that improve the health of the community and reduces health disparities. They selected Rebekah Children's Services for the 2017 Thriving Volunteers Award because of our dedication to promoting positive social, emotional, and physical wellness to those in need.
