Phoenix Non-Public School Outcomes for FY 2011
Phoenix Non-Public School at Rebekah Children’s Services serves emotionally disturbed students in our Behavior Health Programs and students from Santa Clara and neighboring county school districts. All students have been identified as needing special education services. The program serves K-12 grades.
The program offers specialized education instruction that is developed by the students Individual Education Plan (IEP), state standard curriculum guidelines and the students assessed level of functioning. The program provides crisis, behavioral and counseling intervention as needed, as well as a therapeutic component to address problem behaviors that are impeding students’ progress in school. The interventions include five core curriculum subjects, Language, Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies and Physical Education. In addition to academic targets, we offer electives such as Culinary Arts, Digital Photography, Spanish, Claymation and Gardening.
This report is intended to measure performance and quality indicators as they relate to our NPS program. Measurements of quality is measured through academic achievements, evidence of increased functioning, evidence of decreased problem severity, youth and family satisfaction, and reason for discharge.
